As a small disclaimer, trying to match the phrasing in some of these songs is a nightmare.

The Phantom Menace of the Opera

Think of Me

Long ago
In a galaxy that was far away
The Chancellor
Sent out two Jedi to try and parlay.
On Naboo
There was a young queen who
An unfair tax refused to pay.
So both Qui-Gon and Obi-wan
Went to save the day.

. . .

The pilot said
"There's a trade ship ahead."
Qui-gon replied "Let's go and see."
And events were set in motion
For the prequels three.

Qui-gon had a sort of rebel streak --
Defying council edicts, not too meek.

Obi-wan
Just an apprentice
Called a padawan,
But very skilled,
Ready for trials,
And a bit headstrong,

Was feeling bad
It was a sense he had
That things would go from bad to worse.
And that's where the story starts
'Cause this is the last verse!

Angel of Music

Qui-gon:
Where have you gone
With all your feelings?
Keep you thoughts here, present.
We're here to force
A peace agreement.
It might be unpleasant.

Obi-Wan:
Yoda once spoken of the future
Through the Force it would appear.
I'm sensing something elusive
But the evil's clear.

Here on this ship
I feel it growing.
Something ahead . . . troubles.

Qui-Gon:
Focus on now;
They make us wait long.
I sense their fear doubles.

Federation Employee:
This droid says they've sent the Jedi.
I will not go in that room.
They're here to force a settlement
For our plan, it's doom!

Viceroy:
Decoy them both!
I'll contact the Sith.
Sidious must advise.

Employee:
I'm too afraid!
I've seen the Jedi.
Send the droid in, that's wise!

. . .

Sidious:
Cowardly fool!
I loathe your presence.
Begin the troops' landing.
Conquer that world!
Kill every soldier
Don't leave a one standing.

Viceroy:
Dark Lord, I hear you!
But I wonder
If this attack's legal.

Sidious:
Do what I say!
Launch this invasion!
Conquer the Queen Regal.

Employee:
What shall we do with the Jedi?
Of their strength I'm terrified.

Sidious:
Jedi should not have been sent here;
Employ homicide!

Obi-Wan:
Master, I fear they try to gas us!
They want us dead, surely!
Let's hold our breath! The Force will help us.
Still, this makes me surly.

The Phantom of the Opera:

Amidala:
Your blockade ends today,
You trader scum.

Viceroy:
I'm hearing what you say,
But it sounds dumb.

Amidala:
The supreme chancellor
Has sent Jedi.
And they
Might take offense at you; watch out--
Lightsabers fry.

Viceroy:
I do not know this thing
Of which you speak.
There are no Jedi here.
Naboo is weak
If they must bluff to me
And try to lie.
They say there are ambassadors but there
Are no Jedi.

Amidala:
So, tell me, Palaptine,
What's going on?
There are no diplomats.
What has gone wrong?

Palaptine:
I do not know, my dear.
How can this be?
I swear, the Chancellor himself did come
And promise me--

Amidala: What's this? The static and distortion?

Counsellor:
This comm has been cut off;
Now, what's that for?

Amidala:
I won't condone a course
That leads to war!

Captain:
And I again insist that we must fight!
The Army of the Trade Federation is now in sight.

Viceroy:
Sign! My treaty of conquest!

Music of the Night:
Maul:
High time someone taught Jedi a lesson.
I seek vengeance; that's what I'm confessin'.
I will find this target, I swear they shall not far get . . .

Sidious:
Slowly, surely, down this path I led you.
Hate and anger; these are all I fed you.
You will more than beat any Jedi that you meet;
You are stronger than those fools who serve the light.
For Darth Maul, you are better in a fight.

Though the Jedi might have some more prophetic dreams,
And their archives are full of arcane lore,
There's a power in darkness they ignore
So in battle you'll find they're rather poor.

I'll keep things bogged down here in the Senate.
Manipulation's my current tenet.
Seek out Naboo's Queen; I am sure you're rather keen
To assassinate and murder out of spite.
Oh, Darth Maul, channel all the Dark Side's might.

Close your eyes, and sense all the paths that they may take;
Purge your mind of all mercy; think of war.
Let the Force tell you where she's going to be!
Then, of course, go on a killing spree.

You have fallen past all reclamation.
Made a Sith through strong indoctrination.
Revel in your hate, let your anger make you great.
But if you trust me I'm afraid you're not too bright.
Now hurry up, the timing's getting tight.

Anyone who trusts me's not too bright.
Help me to defeat all good and right.

Notes/Prima Donna:

Captain:
Shooting us! Can you feel the blasts?
They are shooting us! And we cannot last!
Shields are low! They will soon break through!
Yes, our shields are low! What will we now do?

Bad news on deflector rear, stabilizer's disappeared!
Still, we've got an Astromech. Let him fix it; he's our tech.

What a way to flee from Naboo.
Fighting through a stiff blockade.
Can't evade! Cannot fight; let's get out of sight!
Obi-Wan,
We need some Jedi power for the hour of our doom has come to light!

Pilot:
Power lost! We've been badly hit!
We've got power loss! Broken conduit!
We will need repairs or we'll die in space,
Yes, we need repairs, let us find a place.

Obi-Wan:
For our options there are few;
Tatooine will have to do.

Captain:
You can't take her to such a planet.
The Hutts are in complete control.
Amidala they'll take,
Some credits to make.
Holding out
For rather a large ransom, quite handsome all the profits when she's sold!

Qui-Gon Jinn:
Your Highness, you will have to trust me.
And anyway we have no choice.
We will need a new part
From a shipyard mart.
Tatooine
Has many junkyard merchants so perchance we'll get repairs and soon rejoice!

Amidala:
If you go then you'll have to take Padme.
For she will be my eyes and ears.
Not a question of trust.
It's just simply "must."
I'm in charge.

Qui-Gon:
I'm not too sure I like it--

Obi-Wan:
Can't hitchhike it--

Qui-Gon:
We'll be stranded--

Amidala:
Since we've landed I give orders

Obi-Wan:
--on the borders of the city

All:
It's a pity that we've gotta but there's not a lotta options for us now!

Anakin:
An Angel!

Padme:
You're kind of funny!

Anakin:
An Angel!

Qui-Gon:
We have no money. Unless you take Republic accounts.

Watto:
Of course not! I need some hardware! Of course not! You're not a Jedi. And mind tricks simply won't work on me.

Qui-Gon:
Then do you gamble?

Watto:
A little!

Anakin:
Are you an Angel?

Watto:
A little!

Qui-Gon:
Let's make a wager: the pod race we will both go to see.

Watto:
And what is that you offer to me?

Qui-Gon:
My ship will be the entry. And also the stakes for this whole thing -- I'll take the parts if I win there.

[. . .]

Amidala: He won it!

Watto: That little human!

Amidala: I can't believe it; he won it!

Watto: I think you cheated.

Qui-Gon: But still you must pay up on your bet.

Watto: I cannot!

Qui-Gon: We made a wager!

Watto: I cannot!

Qui-Gon: You'll make this payment -- or else the Hutts will never forget.

Watto: My days as a rich gambler are ruined. The boy will be given to your care. I'm prepared for a great misfortune should I attempt to welch the bet.

All:
Far too many plots for my taste.
It's time to go to Corsucant.
Let's depart, one and all!
Oops, here comes Darth Maul!

Qui--Gon: The Sith Lords have returned.

Obi-Wan:
I feel more than a little bit concerned.
What precisely was that thing?

Qui-Gon:
I do not know; and I can't guess. For the moment I won't press.

Anakin:
Pleased to meet you.

Obi-Wan:
This is the boy, then?

Qui-Gon:
He'll be trained, he'll be trained.

Pilot:
Hey, we're all repaired.

All:
Let's depart then.

[. . .]

Anakin:
Mommy!

Padme:
What is it, kid?

Anakin:
I really want to see Mommy. I feel all cold now.

Padme:
It's cold here in space.

Anakin:
Agreed.

Padme:
Well, here's a blanket.

Anakin:
I made this!
Please won't you take it?
I made this!
I think you're nice (and very pretty).
It's good luck! (And quite a gift.)

Padme:
I'll take the necklace.

Anakin:
I hope you'll find that you like it -- and wear it oft. This bodes well for my childish need.

Padme:
It's useless trying to hit on me.
You're much to young to go and con me,
Poor little Annie.
You miss your mother so you think that I'm another.
But that is most unhealthy.

Pilot:
We're coming up upon Coruscant.
You can see the planet city if you want.

Palpatine:
Let's consult now. Procedures call!

All:
What new surprises lie in votes!

Palpatine:
Veloram weakens. We weaken, too.

Padme:
Hasn't he been our good and strongest supporter?

Palpatine:
Your Highness. No. Veloram's through.

Palpatine:
Amidala, first sovereign of Naboo,
What shall we do?
Do you know who
Is in charge here?
I'm afraid that bureaucrats hold the rule;
Oh Amidala it's cruel.

Amidala, I must be quite abrupt
They say corrupt
Is all there is to Veloram.
Though this is baseless, you'll find that he folds.
To blackmailer's he's been sold.

Amidala:
Qui-Gon spoke of a Sith Lord . . .

Well, then tell me what else is left to do.
It seems this place is overdue for some action.

Palpatine:
Might we not try for a stint in the court?
Or support some other faction?

Amidala:
The courts are long
And get things wrong in the end, still.
I believe I must ponder a bit more;
I still will not go to war.

Palpatine (in the background of a senate debate):
Who'd believe I'd receive a new
Chance to reave a Chancellor
And take his seat with vengeance sweet?
I'm just a silhouette
To the Jedi and yet
I stand before them as
An upright man who simply has
The interests of my
Home town at heart; and I
Have fooled most everyone
To think I'm number one.
So I am certain that
I'll be at
My goal in less time now.

(More Loudly)

Amidala, you've seen him grow quite weak
So now, please speak;
We must first seek
Resignation!

All the Senate:
No-confidence is the vote I implore!
Veloram's been such a bore!

All I Ask of You

Qui-Gon:
I want you to train him,
Teach him of the Force.
He's strong; he needs your training!
Must I keep on explaining?

The Jedi Council:
He's just far too old now.
For training it's too late.
If he'd come here much younger
To teach him, we would hunger.

Qui-Gon:
Then say you'll make him into a great Jedi!
Can't you count his Midichlorians?
Say you'll work with him; he's Chosen, say I.
Lightsabers and Jedi wisdom, too.
Train him, that's all I ask of you.

The Jedi Council:
Don't be such a rebel,
You're not always right.
Yoda foresees an error.
This kid's been raised on terror.

Qui-Gon:
If you will not do this.
I guess you guys bite;
He'll be my new apprentice.
His training I will not miss.

Jedi Council:
But say, you've missed out on the Jedi code, here.
Obi-wan already follows you.
Anakin cannot be there beside you.
This is not a thing that Jedi do.
Qui-Gon, you cannot instruct two.

Qui-Gon:
Obi-Wan can take the trials any time.
He is ready for the big to-do.
Obi-Wan:
I can take them any night or morning.

Qui-Gon:
Say, you're headstrong.

Obi-Wan:
So are you.

Jedi Council:
Shut up. We'll tell you what to do.

(Planning follows)

Together:
We must fight the Sith Lords at Naboo!
Win it.
We'll then go to Part Two.

. . .

Palpatine:

I sense a disturbance
Flowing through the Force
It seems there is a Vergence
To shake my dark resurgence.
They were bound to train you
When they felt your strength

Jedi Council:
Say you'll give up this whole foolish notion
Say you won't give us more attitude
Say you'll follow all our wise decisions . . .

Palpatine:
You will be Lord Vader when I'm through!
Watch out! The Sith are after you!
